June 20, 2025 - Notice is hereby given that a Regular Called Meeting of the Governing Body of the City of Tenaha will be held on Monday 23rd day of June at 5:30 pm at Tenaha City Hall, 238 North George Bowers Drive, Tenaha, Texas, at which time the following subjects will be considered, to-with:
1. Call to Order
2. Roll Call
3. Invocation
4. Pledge of Allegiance
5. Citizens Input: This time it is provided for members of the public to address the City Council on items that appear within the agenda, or a matter not listed on the agenda. A Citizens Input Form must be submitted to the City Secretary prior to the meeting. Speakers’ comments are limited to three (3) minutes. Be advised that the Texas Open Meetings Act prohibits the City Council from taking formal action, discussion, deliberation, or comment on citizen input for a matter not listed on the agenda. The law authorizes the following: make a statement of factual information, recite existing policy, advise that a subject be placed on the agenda for a subsequent meeting. Citizens should not engage in shouting, unruly behavior, defamation, personal attacks, profanity, or threats of any kind. Comments shall be addressed to the Mayor and Council. Citizens who violate these rules will be asked to cease the violation and if the violation continues, they will be asked to leave the meeting.

Executive Session: The City Council shall meet in Executive Session as permitted by Section 551.074, Texas Government Code – Personnel Matters, for the purpose of discussion and deliberation regarding employment, evaluation, reassignment, duties, discipline, or dismissal of Chief of Police Jacob Metcalf, and hearing of complaints or charges against Chief of Police Jacob Metcalf.
9. Consideration and possible action on the employment, evaluation, reassignment, duties, discipline, or dismissal of Chief of Police Jacob Metcalf, and hearing of complaints or charges against Chief of Police Jacob Metcalf.
10. Discussion and possible action on approving the minutes for the May 2025 City Council meeting(s).
11. Discussion and possible action on approving the financials for May 2025.
12. Discussion and possible action on approving Invoice # 2873709 in the amount of $11,928.45 to Badger.
13. Discussion and possible action to adopt a resolution identifying signatories for the City TxCDBG grants with the Texas Department of Agriculture.
14. Discussion and possible action on approving The TML Health Benefits Pool Plan Year 10/01/2025 – 09/30/2026 Renewal.
15. Adjourn
The Council reserves the right to retire from executive session concerning any of the items listed on this agenda whenever it is considered necessary and is legally justified under the Open Meetings Act.
