September 11, 2015 - Notice is hereby given that a Regular meeting of the Governing Body of the Shelby County Commissioners’ Court will be held on the 14th day of September, 2015 at 9:30 a.m. in the Courtroom of the Shelby County Courthouse at 200 San Augustine Street, Center, Shelby County, Texas to deliberate and consider action on the following items:
1. Approve the minutes of the August 10th, 2015 Regular Meeting and the August 24th, 2015 Special Meeting and the August 24th, Budget Hearing and the August 26th Public Meeting and the August 31, 2015 Special Meeting of the Shelby County Commissioners’ Court.
2. Approve and pay monthly expenses.
3. Approve Officers’ Reports.
4. Public Comments on Agenda items.
5. Discuss and possibly take action on distribution of the Child Safety Fee Fund.
6. Approve the maintenance on an additional 345.77 feet at the end of CR 1076 in Precinct 1.
7. Discuss and possibly take action to lift burn ban.
8. Discuss and Approve Interlocal Cooperation Agreement between San Augustine County,
Shelby County, and Sabine County for the Texas Veterans Commission Transportation
Assistance Program Grant.
9. Debora Riley, Shelby County Tax Assessor-Collector, to address the court concerning lowering the compensation for collecting delinquent taxes for local taxing units; to discuss and possibly take action.
10. Debora Riley, Tax Assessor-Collector to request a part-time employee for the new budget year to work in the Property Tax Department.
11. Consider the request by Sheriff Blackwell to pay overtime to Kevin Windham and Donnie Dickerson, Sheriff’s Office Investigators.
12. Consider adding an additional Sheriff’s Deputy salary to the 2015-2016 budget.
13. Approve Sheriff and Constable Fees for Shelby County to take effect January 1, 2016.
14. Approve to advertise for bids on gravel, tires, fuel and custodial services for Shelby County.
15. Adopt Commissioner Court dates for FY 2015-2016 as the 2nd and 4th Mondays of the month.
16. Adopt County Holidays for 2016.
17. Adopt Proposed Shelby County Budget for FY 2015-2016.
18. Adopt Tax Rate for FY 2015-2016.
19. Adjourn.
