May 14, 2020 - I would like to offer my Congratulations to the graduating classes of 2020. The lessons that you have learned along this path will be invaluable in the future.
This crisis of 2020 has put a spotlight on the fact that ‘life is not always fair.’ You have waited and worked for 13 years to walk across a stage and receive your diploma in front of your family and friends, that has been taken from you in some degree or another and for this fact my heart hurts for you. But it is also a great stepping stone to learn to overcome adversity and disappointment, let these types of life lessons strengthen you and make you a stronger more compassionate person.
I challenge you to set goals along your life’s journey and I dare you to accomplish them. Surround yourself with positive people and strive to bring kindness and civility into the world. I BELIEVE IN YOU!!
