April 14, 2016 - The Delta Gamma Chapter of The Delta Kappa Gamma Society International celebrated the chapter's 68th birthday at their April 11 meeting in Timpson, Texas. The Delta Gamma Chapter began when 14 key women teachers from Sabine, San Augustine, and Shelby Counties met at the Polly Hotel in Center, Texas on April 17, 1948. This Society promotes professional and personal growth of women educators and excellence in education.
