DETEC Reports Power Outage (Update: 12:30pm)

May 9, 2019 - As of 12:30 PM, Deep East Texas Electric Cooperative is reporting less than 5 outages. We appreciate your patience and we commend DETEC crews for working diligently to restore power.


As of 8:30 AM, Deep East Texas Electric Cooperative is reporting approximately 600 members without power after overnight storms

Nacogdoches Co: 200 Members - Hwy 7 W area
Sabine Co: 180 Members - Fairmont area
San Augustine Co: 150 Members - Hwy 21 W
Shelby Co: 30 Members - Tenaha area
Jasper Co: 30 Members - Horton Hill area
 
Crews are now working to repair outages as quickly and as safely as possible.
 
Above all, DETEC encourages everyone to keep safety a priority. Should you encounter a downed line, consider it live and dangerous. 


Update: As of 8 PM, Deep East Texas Electric Cooperative is reporting less than 200 members without power. Approximately 150 of these members are in the Carthage area. The remaining 50 are scattered throughout the system.

Crews will continue to work until power is restored to all.

  • Sabine Co: 1,600 Members - primarily in the Fairmont area
  • San Augustine Co: 1,100 Members - FM 711, 21 W, Hwy 96, FM 1277, Bland Lake, Hwy 147 N
  • Nacogdoches Co: 170 Members - Central Heights area
  • Shelby Co: 90 Members - Tenaha area

  • San Augustine Co: 1,100 Members - FM 711, 21 W, Hwy 96, FM 1277, Bland Lake, Hwy 147 N
  • Nacogdoches Co: 190 Members - Central Heights and Oak Ridge area
  • Shelby Co: 90 Members - Teneha area
