District-wide Sealcoat Expected to Begin in June

May 27, 2026 - Work will occur in all nine district counties

The Texas Department of Transportation (TxDOT) Lufkin District will begin sealcoating numerous roads throughout all nine counties next month as weather permits.

Barricades have been and are being set, with work expected to get underway on Tuesday, June 2. In total, 146.2 miles of pavement on 26 district roads will be treated.
