August 31, 2018 - The William Carroll Crawford Chapter of the Daughters of the Republic of Texas will kick off their 2018 - 2019 year with a brunch on Saturday, September 8, at 10:00AM at the Sam Samford Lodge in Center. Chapter officers will be the hostesses. During the brunch we will have a look back at last year's accomplishments and a look forward to next year's plans and goals.
Following a brief business meeting, chapter members and guests will go to the Center Sanitarium for a program by Gina Ferren. David and Deborah Chadwick have graciously agreed to allow us to tour the restored 1870s house that later became a hospital in Center.
We have an exciting year ahead, exploring our Texas history, honoring those ancestors who achieved the independence of Texas and breaking bread together at our meetings. Come be a part of it, If you have any questions, call Maggie at 248-3361.
