October 15, 2015 - Proposition 6 is the Ducks Unlimited-supported Right to Hunt and Fish Constitutional Amendment, up for a vote in the statewide general election on November 2, 2015. Early voting starts this Monday, October 19, and goes through Friday, October 30! Ducks Unlimited supported the resolution and amendment language to imbed the right to legal, ethical hunting and fishing in the state constitution.
DU Texas State Chairman Rusty Legg calls on all DU members and volunteers to get out and vote. "This is really critical, and the entire sporting community needs to go to the polls and support Proposition 6, making permanent our right to hunt and fish in the Texas Constitution. Only apathy and complacency will defeat us. So whatever else you do, go vote."
Proposition 6 on the ballot will read:
"The constitutional amendment recognizing the right of the people to hunt, fish, and harvest wildlife subject to laws that promote wildlife conservation."
Get out and VOTE FOR PROP 6! And send this to your network and friends asking them to get out and vote!
