Fawn Season: Know What to Do

May 9, 2016 - It is fawn (baby deer) season again. Please do not pick up fawns if they are in no danger. Examples of when you would remove a fawn are: in danger of attack by dogs, fire ants attacking it, hay equipment injury, the doe (mother deer) killed by a vehicle or injury, fawn laying in the road. If you encounter a fawn in distress please contact your local Game Warden or licensed wildlife rehab please do not feed the fawn anything. Janet Ballard TPW REH-0811-311.
