Game 1 - Fillies vs Tallahassee CC
December 1, 2015 - Laura Chavez scored 19 points to lead the Fillies but this was not enough as Panola College fell to Tallahassee Community College 71-55.
Fillies closed out the first half being down 26-23 after going on 10-2 run. Tallahassee Community College scored 37 points in the final two quarters of the game which helped them clinch the win.
Also scoring for Panola College were Kia Fisker (8 points), R'Trevia Randolph (7 points), Destiney Johnson (6 points), Teanna Frances Henderson (4 points),Charlynn Perry (3 points), Amanda Cruz, Genesis Rivera and Raemeisha Claxton (2 points each).
Game 2 - Fillies vs Texas Storm
Although J'Lene Martinez had a solid game with 26 points, Panola College fell short to Texas Storm 75-68. Texas Storm clinched their lead in the fourth quarter on a three-pointer.
At halftime the Fillies were up 34-26 and a 22-point second quarter on the strength of an 12-5 run on was not enough for Fillies to overcome Texas Storm's 36 points in the final two quarters of the game.
Martinez lead the Fillies offense with 26 points, scoring nine during the second period making eight three-pointers for the game.
Teanna Frances Henderson was the second leading scorer with 13 points. Kia Fisker ended the game 12 points going four of four from the free throw line. Also chipping in for Panola College were Laura Chavez (8 points), Raemeisha Claxton (6 points), and Charlynn Perry (2 points) and Amanda Cruz (1 point).
The Fillies look to take action again Tuesday, December 1 at 5:30 pm against UT Tyler at the Arthur Johnson gymnasium.
