March 11, 2020 - The Nacogdoches-Angelina-Trinity-San Augustine-Shelby County Farm Service Agency (FSA) Committee proposes changes to the local administrative areas (LAAs) for the 2020 county committee election. These areas are used in the County Committee Election process as locations from which members are elected and serve. The proposal decreases the existing 11 local administrative areas (LAAs) to 10 LAAs.
Eligible voters are encouraged to submit public comments by March 27, 2020 to the Nacogdoches-Angelina-Trinity-San Augustine-Shelby County FSA Office at 1122 N University DR, STE R, Nacogdoches, TX 75961 or call 936-564-5891.
The proposed local administrative areas are as follows:
Nacogdoches County (LAA 1) the area north of highway 21 and west of HWY 259.
Nacogdoches County (LAA 2) the area north of highway 21 and east of HWY 259.
Nacogdoches County (LAA 3) the area south of HWY 21.Angelina County (LAA 4) all of Angelina County excluding the area between HWY 103W, Loop 287 and HWY 59 S.
Angelina/Trinity County (LAA 5) all of Trinity County plus the area between HWY 103 W, Loop 287 and HWY 59 S in Angelina County.
Shelby County (LAA 6) – the area south of FM 138 and west of HWY 87 to Shelbyville and west of HWY 147
Shelby County (LAA 7) – the area east of HWY 87 S through HWY 147 S to San Augustine County and east of FM 699 N to Panola County.
Shelby County (LAA 8) – the area west of FM 699 from the Panola County line to theintersection of FM 1656 and HWY 7. From that intersection the boundary followsHWY 7 to downtown Center then westward following FM 138 to the NacogdochesCounty line in Shelby County.
San Augustine County (LAA 9) – the area north of HWY 103 & west of HWY 96 N.
San Augustine County (LAA 10) – the area south of HWY 103 & east of HWY 96 N.
