April 13, 2015 - Caleb Norton the 22 year old son of Tammie and Scott Jacobs of San Augustine and Clint and Jennifer Norton of Shelbyville. He was diagnosed with Stage III Nonseminoma (the most aggressive form of testicular cancer) and underwent surgery at Nacogdoches Memorial Hospital on Monday, April 6, 2015.
However, in the early morning hours of Tuesday, April 7, 2015 he returned to the ER with uncontrollable pain and was transferred that same day to Baylor University Medical Center in Dallas, Texas where he remains as a patient. Caleb is scheduled to begin chemo today (April 13, 2015).
He will be a full week as a patient at Baylor Medical Center, then discharged for two weeks, then admitted for a full week of chemo, etc. for a total of 12 weeks. All chemo will be administered as in-patient at Baylor University Medical Center in Dallas.
