Group Establishes Center Tennis Association; Seeks Enrichment of Programs

November 3, 2021 - The Center Tennis Association (a non-profit corporation) has been newly formed to help promote and organize tennis in the Center area.

A board has been established and includes Bob Reeves, President; Ortega Cartwright, Vice-President; Sharon Nelson, Secretary; and Steve Waters; Social Chairman; Jason Mitchell, Terry Scull, and Leon Dykes.

The goals of the organization are to support the Roughrider Tennis Team and grow the game of tennis by providing recreational tennis activities to adults in the community. 

Regardless of ability, everyone is encouraged to participate. The Center Tennis Association will be offering summer clinics for the youth, summer clinics for adults starting as beginners and monthly social tennis activities for adults.

The Center Community Tennis Association is an official part of the United States Tennis Association (USTA). The USTA is charged with promoting Tennis in the United States, including tournaments, supplies, grants and the United States Professional Tennis Open in September of each Year in New York.
