June 27, 2018 - Wymon and Hazel Bolton of Shelbyville have been married for 60 years on June 27th, and their children will host a celebration on Saturday, June 30, 2018 at 1pm at 205 Haley St. in Center, Texas at the Pineywoods Outreach Center.
A host of family and friends are invited to the event. We will have special guests from Ghana Africa who will be attending also. This is why this occasion is special, and why I would like to share this synopsis with you.
My parents are the proud parents of 10 children, 39 grandchildren and 34 great-grandchildren. They struggled to provide us with everything that we needed and not our wants. My father learned the carpentry business at an early age, and constructed some of the most beautiful houses and designs without having a formal education in architectural design or any higher education.
My mom worked to help support the family. She owned businesses such as a beauty shop and restaurant. She cooked for everyone in the neighborhood and still does that today.
My parents encouraged us to embrace faith, family, education and hard work. We are all very successful in each of our perspective professions. In a day and time now when family stability is so fragile, my parents stayed together through all of the thorns, whirlwinds and rocky roads. They were role models for us as well as our local community. These two individuals are very special people whom we love to the moon and back.
We thank God for the past 60 years and pray for at least 60 more!
