Hataway Receives Special Recognition at Great American Trucking Show

August 28, 2017 - Dallas, TX.  Bob Hataway, Chaplain and founder of TransAlive USA, who has been involved in transportation ministry for 44 years, was recognized by the National Day of Prayer for Truckers Organization during the Great American Trucking Show in Dallas, TX on August 24, 2017.

Hataway founded TransAlive USA in 1973 to assist drivers injured in accidents, injuries or illnesses requiring hospitalization while working away from home.  Using over 100,000 volunteers, he covers every zip code across America.  Wherever an injury or illness occurred, Hataway has someone there to assist.

Hataway stated, "It has been our pleasure to make sure that every driver who finds himself away from home and facing a serious accident, illness or injury will have someone local to give them assistance when needed."

17 years ago, Hataway introduced the AmCoach, a 40 foot motor-coach, service to return drivers home when they could not travel standard plane train or bus.  Calvin Christian was one such driver a few years back injured in Pennsylvania and returned to Shelby County.  Now Hataway provides air service with medical staff and ambulances for the same purposes.

Hataway currently produces safety tips for drivers with over 1 million copies in print distributed to the industry every month.  His safety tips were broadcast on the Bill Mack Trucking Show from Fort Worth, TX for 20 years.

Other service information such as first death notifications, and on-site counseling are available by calling 800-USA-HURT.  More information is available through www.transalive.com.

Bob Hataway was born in Center, TX, and is a 1959 graduate of Center High School.
