Hooper Receives American FFA Degree

November 6, 2015 - Margo Hooper, a junior at Stephen F. Austin and Timpson Alumna - class of 2013, was awarded the American FFA Degree at the National FFA Convention in Louisville, Kentucky. The American FFA Degree is awarded to members who have demonstrated the highest level of commitment to FFA and made significant accomplishments in their supervised agricultural experiences.

This award has been given since 1928, but according to the National FFA Organization Margo is only the third person from Timpson to be a recipient – the first female – and the third female from all of Shelby County.

Margo is majoring in Agriculture at SFA, and is a member of the Honor Society. She is the daughter of Tracy and Robin Hooper of Timpson, the granddaughter of Yvonne Ramsey and the late Glynn Ramsey of Timpson, and the late Tommy Mac and Barbara Hooper of Gary.
