Inaugural "Moonlight in the Pines" Historical Ball

March 15, 2019 - The First Annual "Moonlight in the Pines" Historical Ball is set for Saturday, March 16, 2019 at 6:30pm in the Center Community House.

The "Moon Light in the Pines" Historical Ball is a family friendly event with group dances. Admission is $10 per individual and children 12 and under are no charge. While historical attire is encouraged (1860's), formal dress is acceptable.

This is a family friendly event with dancing being group oriented and solely focused on dance styles of by gone eras. The crowd will be well instructed on line dances such as the Virginia Reel, Paddy Cake Polka, the Broom Dance Waltz and many other old time favorites. The General Randall String Band will provide the music with Roger and Judy Doyle instructing. Refreshments will be provided. All ages will enjoy an evening of laughter, new friends and the history of social dance. 

The ball is hosted by Capt. Jesse Amason Camp #282 of Center and Gen. Horace Randal Camp #1533 of Carthage Sons of the Confederate Veterans.
