February 9, 2017 - The Panola College Rodeo Team will kickoff it's spring schedule with the final 5 rodeos of the year.
This weekend the Panola Team will travel to Athens, TX to participate in the Trinity Valley CC Rodeo. Slacks will begin at noon on Friday and Saturday (Feb 10th and 11th) and performances will be on Friday night at 7 p.m. and the Finals on Saturday night at 7 p.m.
Panola has several cowboys and cowgirls ranked in the top 5 and several in striking distance going into the second half that will be fighting for those top three spots to qualify for the College National Finals. Barrel Racer, Abby Phillips of Marshall is currently ranked 2nd, Logan Cook of Alto, is currently ranked 3rd in the Saddle Bronc, and Travis Chapman of Woodville is ranked 4th in the bareback competition. Several others athletes on the team have a chance to have a great spring circuit and get back in the mix.
