January 28, 2016 - Following the annual evaluation of City Manager at the Gilmer City Council Meeting held on January 26th, Tim Marshall, Mayor of Gilmer proclaimed Saturday, January 30, 2016 as Jeff Ellington Day. “Whereas because of the outstanding contributions that he has made to the revival of this City is deserving of special recognition…” Jeff Ellington served the City of Center, TX during the years of 1984-1994 where he also served on numerous boards and developmental projects. Ellington began his tenure as City Manager of Gilmer in March 2005.
