April 27, 2018 - Joaquin's Boys and Girls track team competed in the Area Meet in San Augustine on Thursday, April 19th. Several advanced to the Regional Meet, which will be held in Palestine on April 27-28.
Joaquin Boy's Sprint Relay was the AREA Champion. The team consist of Connor Bragg, Keith Johnson, Hunter Gates, and Gunner Neilson.
The Girl's 4x400m relay advanced to the Regional Meet. The team consist of Riley Sherrod, Day'za Lane, Ana Rodriguez,Chrislyn Pena, Ebbie McCann, and Secoya Barnes. (Chrislyn Pena is not pictured)
Individual Qualifiers
Keith Johnson was the AREA Champion in the 110 Hurdles, and he also advanced in the 300m Hurdles and the Triple Jump.
Day'za Lane advanced in the Long Jump, 400m, and 200m.
Hunter Gates was the AREA Champion in the 200m and he also advanced in the 100m.
Connor Bragg was the AREA Champion in the Long Jump and the 100m. He also advanced in the High Jump and 400m.
