Joaquin HS Introduces Graduating Class of 2025

May 19, 2025 - Joaquin High School introduces the graduating class of 2025. Commencement will take place on Friday, May 23rd at 7pm in the Joaquin High School gym.

Class of 2025 Valedictorian

Karoline OswaltJoaquin High School proudly announces Karoline Oswalt as the Valedictorian for the Class of 2025. Karoline is the daughter of Kreig and Natalie Oswalt and has exemplified excellence in both academics and extracurricular activities throughout her high school career.

A dedicated and accomplished student, Karoline has served as a class officer all four years, including three years as class president. She has also been an active member of the Beta Club, Student Council, FCCLA, and FCA every year of high school. On the softball field, she has been a four-year team member, earning Academic All-District honors each year and receiving Honorable Mention All-District recognition twice.

Karoline’s achievements extend beyond school. She was first runner-up in the East Texas Poultry Festival pageant and was honored as the Grand Duchess in the Nacogdoches Heritage Festival. Most recently, Karoline was named Miss JHS and Student of the Year by the faculty and staff of Joaquin High School.

Following graduation, Karoline plans to attend Texas A&M University, where she will pursue a degree in Psychology with the goal of becoming a Licensed Professional Counselor. Joaquin High School congratulates Karoline Oswalt on her remarkable achievements and wishes her continued success in all her future endeavors.

Class of 2025 Salutatorian

Riley MullinsJoaquin High School is proud to recognize Riley Mullins as the Salutatorian for the Class of 2025. Riley is the daughter of Alan and Denise Mullins and has demonstrated exceptional dedication and achievement both in and out of the classroom.

A well-rounded student, Riley has been a four-year member of the Beta Club, where she competed at state conventions in both math and visual arts. She has also excelled in athletics, participating in powerlifting and advancing to regionals each of her four years. In track and field, Riley has distinguished herself as a three-time state qualifier in shot put and discus. She is also a three-time district champion in shot put and a three-time district, area, and regional champion in discus. Riley played basketball during her freshman and sophomore years and served as a student intern her senior year through the Business Practicum Program, assisting at the administration building.

In addition to her many accomplishments, Riley has earned A Honor Roll status throughout all four years of high school and has completed 24 college credit hours through the dual credit program at Panola College. She has also contributed her time to various volunteer and fundraising efforts in support of the Beta Club.

After graduation, Riley plans to attend Stephen F. Austin State University, where she will pursue a degree in Nursing. Joaquin High School congratulates Riley Mullins on her outstanding achievements and wishes her continued success in her academic and professional journey.
