February 18, 2019 - The JJHS JR Beta Club traveled to the Gaylord Texan in Grapevine to attend the Texas Beta Convention on January 30- February 1. While at the convention, Beta members competed in academic and fine arts contests.
Joaquin 6th graders, Lucas Evans placed 2nd in Science and Elijah Hardison placed 2nd in Mathematics. Shelby Freeman, a 7th grader, placed 3rd in the Drawing competition. All 3 qualified to compete a the National Beta Convention in Oklahoma City this June. Congratulations to all 3 and good luck at Nationals.
