Joaquin Students Participate in Leukemia/Lymphoma Program

April 28, 2015 - Joaquin Elementary School and Joaquin Jr. High School students recently participated in the Leukemia/Lymphoma Program PASTA FOR PENNIES. The elementary students collected $2,230.41 and the junior high students $549.71 for a grand total of $2,780.12. This money will help find a cure for blood cancers and help families with their expenses. Mrs. Rondalyn Neal's second grade class had the highest total collected at the elementary school of $296.05. The eighth grade students collected the most at the junior high with $206.68. These student's will be rewarded with a lunch at Olive Garden in Lufkin, Texas.
