April 13, 2017 - Congratulations to the Joaquin Ram Tennis Team. They competed on Wednesday, April 5 in the District 2A Tennis Meet. Both the boy’s and the girl’s tennis teams won the overall District Championship. n
In the girl’s tennis meet the following girl’s placed:
Maci McDaniel – 1st place Girl’s Singles
Brooklyn Smith and Jacy Williams – 1st Place Girl’s Doubles
The following boy’s placed also:
Chris Lightfoot – 2nd place Boy’s Singles
Jesus Bravo – 3rd place Boy’s Singles
Kaleb Wilburn and Santiago Ruiz – 2nd place Boy’s Doubles
Alexis Retamar and Eli Huerta – 4th place Boy’s Doubles
The following placed in Mixed Doubles:
Katelyn Jackson and Samuel Brazzel – 2nd place
Michalla Byrd and Zay Atkins – 4th place
Other members of the JHS Ram Tennis team are Fiona Young (girl’s singles), Riley Sherrod and Lauren Garrett (girl’s doubles), Erielle Kawaja and Justin Bailey (alternates).
Maci McDaniel, Brooklyn Smith, Jacy Williams, Katelyn Jackson, Samuel Brazzel, Chris Lightfoot, Kaleb Wilburn and Santiago Ruiz will be advancing to the Regional Tennis Meet. It will be held April 17 and 18 in Corsicana, Texas. Good luck at Regional’s!!
