May 8, 2018 - One may say I did not finish from Daniels so why should I attend the school reunions that are being held every other year. Well my answer to those who say so is: 'It is only in your heart that this school was the beginning of future enhancements of education for us. It continued for our ancestors and they survived and now we can appreciate everything they were taught and went through with life." Reunions can bring classmates and friends together.
I attended third and fourth grade at Daniels before moving to Houston. My teachers were Carrie Hill, and Mae Ola Parks. I gained many life long friends during this time and on visits during the summer while in school we had good times. Daniels Grades 1 - 12 should be wonderful memories of those who attended. If you take time out of your busy schedule and take note of the good and bad memories, a story can be told. Try it. Tell your children, and their children so the love for Daniels will exist and maybe one day the spirit will hit someone to do something about the standing buildings and grounds on Greer Street.
