Shelbyville High School on Tuesday, March 9, 2021 –
The Timpson Lady Bears varsity softball team won a District 22 2A conference game over the Shelbyville Lady Dragons by a 11-1 score. A 3-run home run over the leftfield fence by Bear’s senior first baseman Johna Kruse in the second inning, during a rally, gave THS an early 5-1 advantage.
The game’s score remained the same until Timpson exploded for six more runs in the sixth inning which enforced the ten-run-mercy-rule and ended the contest, after Shelbyville was unable to score, in the bottom of the inning.
Shelbyville will next travel to Garrison on Friday, March 12, 2021 for another varsity conference game at 5:30 p.m. with the Lady Bulldogs.
Timpson will host the Joaquin Lady Rams varsity at 5:30 p.m. on Friday at THS.
