Shelbyville fell behind when Mount Enterprise scored in the top of the first and led 1-0. Shelbyville answered with two runs in the bottom first frame to take a 2-1 lead into the second inning. The Lady Dragon’s 2-1 lead held up until they extended their advantage in the bottom of the fourth inning with a rally which saw them score 4 runs on two singles, a double, a walk, a hit batter and an error. They carried a 6-1 advantage into the fifth inning.

Shelbyville then got the five runs needed to end the game during the bottom of the fifth inning when they rallied on six hits and a fielder’s choice which allowed the Lady Dragons to get the 11-1 lead and end the game by mercy-rule.

Shelbyville is currently in fourth place with a 5-5 record in District 22 2A with two conference games remaining. Four teams from their conference will advance to the UIL Softball Playoffs in late April.
