Joaquin Lady Rams Softball Field on Tuesday, March 7, 2023 –
The Joaquin Lady Rams varsity softball team took a convincing 20-1 home win over the Mount Enterprise Lady Galcats on Tuesday. The win gave Joaquin a 12-5 season mark and opened their District 22 2A play with a 1-0 record. The contest was called after 2 ½ innings due to mercy rule.
Brooklyn Bagley pitched the entire nine outs for Joaquin and gave up just four hits, struck out five batters and she gave up no walks. Joaquin hit safely 15 times and walked three. Autumn Webb hit a two-run homerun over the right centerfield fence during a 16-run rally in the second inning.
The Lady Rams host the Martinsville Lady Pirates (0-1) at Joaquin High School on Friday, March 10, 2023 with Junior Varsity beginning at 4:30 p.m. and Varsity beginning at 6 p.m.
