Tenaha Special Events Center on Friday, January 27, 2023 –
The Tenaha Lady Tigers varsity basketball team took an 89-26 District 23 2A win over the visiting Shelbyville Lady Dragons. The win gives THS a 28-2 overall record and a 10-0 conference mark. Shelbyville is at 10-15, 3-6.
The Lady Tigers held a 20-5 lead after the first period and a 47-14 advantage at the halftime intermission. By the end of the third stanza THS had built a 61-29 lead on their way to the 89-26 point win.
Tenaha was led by McKaelen Reynolds with 31 point, Tiyanna Dagley had 18 and Kayanna Cox scored 15 points. Shelbyville was led by Kara Jones with ten points.
The Lady Tigers will travel to Garrison on Friday, February 3, 2023 for a 6 p.m. tipoff at Bulldogs Gymnasium.
Shelbyville will host Garrison on Tuesday January 31, at 6 p.m.
