Timpson Smyrna Cemetery Family:
June 17, 2024 - Our Cemetery reflects the history of our community. How it is maintained says much about how we honor our deceased.
We are proud how we have improved the cemetery within the last few years. Please note that the committee has chosen to buy new markers for some of the damage headstones or headstones that were not purchased by the family in times past. Over the last couple of months, people have asked if we can clean some of the older headstones. Our initial response has been “No”. But upon further review and discussion the committee has decided this summer we will start washing some markers and headstones. We will use a mild detergent (Dawn) and water. If you do not want your family’s headstone/marker wash, please send a written letter to the above address in 30 days. The committee will not be liable for any damage to the headstones. Please note that this will take some time and effort to complete this task. We thank you for patience and cooperation.
