Library Summer Off to a Wild Start with "FBBL Camp Read S'More"

June 7, 2024 - The Summer Reading/Discovery Program at the Fannie Brown Booth Library got off to a great start this morning. The summer program theme is "Adventure Begins at Your Library," and our Library theme is "FBBL Camp Read S'More."

We had a wonderful program presented by Justin Carpenter, biologist with Texas Parks and Wildlife. Mr. Carpenter spoke about "how to have a good camping experience." He also brought hides and skulls of animals found in East Texas and talked about the interesting facts of each one.

The Summer Reading/Discovery Programs are on Thursdays at 10:30 a.m. (except July 4th) and is sponsored by the Center Noon Lions Club.

The Library will have different programs for all ages Tuesday through Friday each week through July 19th. For more information, call the Library at 936-598-5522.
