According to information provided by Dwight Preston, Mr. Trazel D. Silvers is a native to the Appalachian area. Although born in Boston, Massachusetts, Trazel was raised and attended grade school in Clinchco, Virginia. Trazel attended Ervinton High School where he continues to hold the record for most points scoredduring a regular-season game, dominating the game with a total of 60 points.

Trazel then attended college at East Tennessee State University where he later earned two Bachelors degrees in Interdisciplinary Studies and Marketing & Communication. Upon graduating with his first Bachelors from ETSU, Trazel was offered the opportunity to tryout for a number of professional basketball teams.

Although the timing was off for pursuing an NBA career, Trazel instead was afforded the opportunity to play for the world-renowned Harlem Globetrotters. After three seasons with the Globetrotters, another opportunity to try for a career in the NBA was available. However due to NBA lockouts, the NBA did not present as the best option for Trazel. He instead joined the French Federation Basketball League, signing his first contract with the Valance Heat of Valance, France.

After a 13-year career playing for European basketball teams, Trazel moved home to the Appalachian area where he earned his second Bachelors degree and engages in motivational speaking events to inspire the youth of his area. Among the many inspirations that Trazel names, he includes his supportive family above all else.
Trazel currently resides in Johnson City, Tennessee where he works at Agero as a team lead assisting auto motorists in roadside assistance nationwide.

Preston says Silvers will be at a signing session from 4pm to 5pm in front of Walmart in Center following the mentoring program.
