Mince Catches Lake Record Bluegill

Megan Mince and Jon GunnMay 10, 2018 - On Saturday, April 28th Jon Gunn and his fiancé Megan Mince were fishing Lake Pinkston when Megan caught a lake record Bluegill measuring 11.25 inches and 1.50 lbs. The record was submitted into the Anglers Recognition Program at Texas Parks and Wildlife Department.

Not only does the catch hold the current lake record for Lake Pinkston but it beat both Toledo Bend and Sam Rayburn Bluegill records. The Toledo Bend Record was 10.63" long and 1.12 lbs and the record for Sam Rayburn was 10" long and 0.75 lbs. Megan said, "Pretty awesome to have beat both major lake records!"

The State record is 12.5" and 2.02 lbs.
