March 11, 2016 - 1. The Joaquin ISD School Board met tonight in special session at 6:00 p.m. in the Joaquin Boardroom with the following members present: Jay Dee Cockrell, Ronnie Belrose, Thomas Harvey, Jimmy Hamilton, Chrisco Bragg (arrived at 6:10 p.m.) and Charles Leflett
Board members absent: Tam Hearnsberger
Guest(s) Present: Dr. John Walch, Walch Educational Consulting, LLC
Joaquin ISD Employee(s) Present: Phil Worsham, Superintendent; Joel Bumback, Director of Finance;
Jay Dee Cockrell, President, called the meeting to order at 6:00 p.m.
2. Report/Information items:
- 2.1 Funding options for 2016-2017 School Year - The Board discussed funding options the District had for 2016 - 2017. Dr. John Walch went over options and ways the District might increase funding by maximizing the school funding formula.
3. Designation of date and time of next meeting of the Board of Trustees of the Joaquin ISD – March 28 at 6:00 p.m.
