January 30, 2023 - The Center Middle School 8th grade girls organization known as MY SISTER, MYSELF, is preparing for their 5th annual college tour and educational field trip March 3rd-5th. MSMS is an organization comprised of 23 girls and 4 sponsors. It is service oriented and teaches young girls leadership skills and the importance of giving back to the community which gives so much to them.
We will be having our 2nd and final fundraiser on the Center square Friday, February 3rd from 4pm to 5:30pm in a bucket drive. We would appreciate everyone's support.
This year we will be touring SFA and then traveling on to Houston to volunteer at the Houston Food Bank which we have done for the past 5 years. On Saturday morning we will head to Galveston for a fun filled educational adventure at Moody Gardens, visiting the Rainforest, the Aquarium and Discovery museum. The girls will then take a ferry ride and also tour natural wetlands. On Sunday we will conclude our trip with a visit to the NASA Space Center.
