September 8, 2026 - Each year at the Poultry Festival, the Shelby County 4-H conducts a ceremony and presents “Valor Quilts” to local veterans. This year that ceremony will be held on Saturday, October 3, 2026.
Please nominate your favorite veteran to Larry Hume, VFW Post 8904 Adjutant at chiefhume95@gmail.com or text to 936-332-0349. Be sure to include the veterans name, and phone number. Remember they must be able to attend the Quilt of Valor Ceremony on October 3, 2026.
