April 13, 2021 - The Panola College men’s basketball team will host an open tryout for the 2021-2022 season on Sunday, May 16, 2021 at 3 p.m. The tryout will take place in the Arthur Johnson Gymnasium on the Panola College campus and will be limited to 50 participants.
The Ponies closed the 2020-2021 season 14-7 overall after competing in the NJCAA Region XIV Tournament on April 8. The team won seven of the nine games played at home during the season.
“During my 6-year career as a head coach, I have taken several players from open tryouts,” said Aaron Smith, the head coach of the men’s basketball team at Panola College. “This tryout will be a great opportunity for athletes to showcase their talent on the court in front of Panola College coaches.”
Those who are interested must complete the online registration form at bit.ly/poniesbasketball. A registration fee of $45 is required and must be paid online when completing the form.
