January 15, 2025 - The Culinary Department of Center High School had the honor of hosting and presenting to the Rotary Club on Center on January 14, 2025. Students involved included: Destiny Tinner, Kylie Hubbard, Sunday Manas, Saira Olalde Valdez, Larkin Sears, Gerardo Reyes, Belen Cardena, Rebecca Cruz, and Katelyn Bentley.
The students showcased their culinary skills by serving delectable grilled chicken Caesar salad wraps, chips, grape salad, assorted cheesecakes, and their signature shaken lemonades.
Mrs. Fausett, CHS Culinary Instructor, provided an overview of the program's activities and opportunities. Catering is one of the program's specialties.
Rayford Coplin, Rotary Club President, posed two questions to the students: What have they learned to avoid, and how do they accommodate food allergies for their clients? Several students shared their experiences.
Mrs. Fausett extended an invitation to the Rotary Club to tour the CHS Culinary Kitchen and to consider them for future catering events.
