Roughrider Academy Auditorium on Thursday, January 18, 2024 –
Roughrider Academy held a winter graduation commencement ceremony for 21 students on Thursday. The academy provides a non-traditional academic program focused on providing students the skills needed to by independent critical thinkers and work or college ready at the time of graduation.
The ceremony was opened with a processional, an invocation, and the national anthem. An introduction by Heath Hagler of honored guest and staff followed. Heather Cassell next spoke during the student address and this was followed by Dr. Brian Morris’ acceptance of graduates for the school.
Awarding of diplomas, scholarship recognition and the turning of the tassels highlighted the later portions of the program which concluded with the final recessional.
Scholarships were announced during the program by Bone Hill Foundation and the Roughrider Scholarship Foundation.
