To the Citizens of Precinct 2, Shelby County, Texas
February 13, 2026 - My name is Roy H. Bailey, and I am running for the office of Justice of the Peace, Precinct 2, Shelby County, Texas. I would like to list a few of the following things that I feel like I can bring to this office.
I have 35-plus years in law enforcement behind me and am still currently employed with the Shelby County Sheriff's Department I have been working in different areas of law enforcement in Shelby County for approximately 22-plus years. I hold a Texas Master Peace office license as well as a jailer's license.
The areas of law enforcement that I have worked in are numerous. I have been a Deputy Constable for Precincts 1 and 2 in Shelby County, Texas, Deputy for Shelby County Sheriff's Department, school resource officer for Shelbyville Independent School District, civil process officer in which I serve civil and criminal papers, court bailiff as well as the livestock officer for the department.
I believe in firm but fair enforcement of the laws of the court.
Please allow this as a humble request for those who I have not been able to get to or speak with for your vote. Voting begins with early voting on February 17th and ends February 27th. The main primary is on March 3rd.
