September 12, 2025 - Notice is hereby given that a Special meeting of the Governing body of the Shelby County Commissioners' Court will be held on the 17th day of September, 2025 at 9:30am in the Courtroom of the Shelby County Courthouse at 200 San Augustine Street, Center, Shelby County, Texas to deliberate and consider action on the following items:
1. Approve weekly expenses.
2. Public comments on agenda item.
3. Accept the resignation of JP PCT. 4 DeeDee Green.
4. Approve the bond for DeeDee Green, District Clerk.
5. Discuss and possibly approve Sheriff's and Constables' Fees for 2026.
6. Open and Accept bids for road maintenance materials for Shelby County fiscal year ending 2026.
7. Open sealed bids for a Brush Truck Fire Skid offered by PCT 4, review and award bid.
8. Discuss and possibly approve the Road Project Agreement between Shelby County and the USDA, Forest Service, National Forests & Grasslands in Texas for the benefit of Commissioner Precinct 2.
9. Discuss and possibly approve the joint election contract between Shelby County and the City of Center for the November 2025 election.
10. Discuss and possibly approve changing the date of the last Commissioners' Court meeting of this FY from Wednesday, October, 1, 2025 to Tuesday, September 30, 2025 at 3:00 P.M. to allow the Accounts Payable Department to expediate the process all FY2024-2025 invoices.
11. An Executive Session will also be held for the purpose of discussing personnel, hearing complaints against personnel, or to deliberate the appointed, employment evaluation, reassignment, duties, discipline, or dismissal of a public officer or employee. The closed session is authorized by the Texas Open Meeting Act, Texas Government Code Section 551.074
12. Reopen public meeting.
13. Discuss and possibly make a decision on issues in Executive Session.
14. Commissioners' Court Reports: These are for jnformational purposes only. Any action that needs to be taken on the basis of these reports will be placed on a future agenda for action.
