February 3, 2023 - Notice is hereby given that a Regular meeting of the Governing body of the Shelby County Commissioners’ Court will be held on the 8th day of February, 2023 at 9:30am in the Courtroom of the Shelby County Courthouse at 200 San Augustine Street, Center, Shelby County, Texas to deliberate and consider action on the following items:
1. Approve the minutes of January 4, 2023 Special meeting, January 11, 2023 Regular meeting, January 18, 2023 Special meeting, January 25, 2022 Special meeting of the Shelby County Commissioner’s Court.
2. Approve and pay weekly expenses.
3. Approve Officers Report.
4. Public comments on Agenda item.
5. District Attorney’s office to address the court on hiring a part-time employee.
6. Appoint Debbra Johnson to represent Shelby County on the Tri-County Community Action Board of Directors.
7. Discuss and possibly proceed with repair to the roof and damage to the ceiling in the Juvenile Probation Building.
8. Approve the 2023 mileage rate increase from 62.5 cents per mile to 65.5 cents.
9. Discuss and possibly approve easement request from ETEX Telephone Cooperative, Inc. for easement on County property in connection with broadband system for the City of Center.
Executive Session
10. An Executive Session will also be held for the purpose of discussing personnel, hearing complaints against personnel, or to deliberate the appointed, employment, evaluation, reassignment, duties, discipline, or dismissal of a public officer or employee. The closed session is authorized by Texas Open Meeting Act, Texas Government Code Section 551.074.
11. Reopen public meeting.
12. Discuss and possibly make a decision on issues discussed in Executive Session.
13. Adjourn.
