SCBA February Tournament

John Packard and Josh Sowell with winning limit of bass anchored by overall big bass of the tournamentFebruary 18, 2016 - The Shelby County Bass Anglers kicked off the 2016 tournament season with a Sam Rayburn Showdown sponsored by General Shelters. Josh Sowell and John Paul Packard set the pace with a winning sack of 23 lbs anchored by the largest bass of the event weighing 8.32 lbs. Coming in second was the father son team of Wayne and Matt Wood with an impressive limit of bass weighing 20.05 lbs. Despite being new to the club, the team of Rusty Hatcher and Chad Loupe showed their skills capturing the third place limit of bass weighing 19.40 lbs. Rounding out the money slots was the Skeeter Boats team of Matt and Wayne Wood with a second place finishMichael Andrews and Lane Jackson with a weight of 18.61 lbs. The team of Frank and Selvin Cartwright caught the second overall big bass of 7.99 lbs. The team combo pot was won by Sowell/ Packard teamed up with Andrews/ Jackson with a combined weight of 41.61 lbs.

The next event for the SCBA is scheduled for March 12-13th out of Holly Park Marina on Toledo Bend with a pre-tournament meeting set for Tuesday March 8th at the First Baptist Church Fellowship Hall in Center.
