February 26, 2026 - (Flyer) - Shelby County 4-H is excited to launch its new Sewing Project beginning March 8, 2026 at 3pm, inviting local youth to explore the creative world of fashion, design, and hands-on craftsmanship.
Does your child have an interest in fashion and/or sewing? This project offers a fun and supportive environment where youth can learn essential skills while creating real, usable items. Participants will receive instruction on sewing techniques and complete a variety of projects, which may include:
- Quilts
- Pillowcases
- Table décor
- Tote bags and pouches
- And many more creative sewing items
No experience is required! Beginners are welcome, and first-time sewers will receive step-by-step guidance to help them build confidence and learn at their own pace. Youth with previous sewing experience will also find opportunities to expand their skills.
This program helps young people discover new interests, spark creativity, and develop lifelong skills in a fun, engaging atmosphere.
