Shelby County 4-H Sewing & Quilting Day Camp Offered

June 1, 2015 - Texas A&M AgriLife Extension Service - Shelby County will be hosting a 4-H Sewing and Quilting Day Camp beginning June 29 through July 1, 2015 in Center, Texas. This program is open to all youth ages 8 through 18, and you do not have to be a member of 4-H to participate. All materials and supplies will be provided along with healthy snacks and drinks.

This camp is designed for those wanting to learn beginning machine sewing, reading patterns, choosing fabrics, and quilting. By the end of the camp, each participant will have a finished quilted piece (wall hanging or table runner) that they can enter in the upcoming Poultry Festival Quilt Show – youth division.

The cost of this camp is $45 per youth participant. The registration form, that may be picked-up from the Extension office, must be submitted along with the camp fee to hold your child’s place. Camp registration is open until filled or until Wednesday, June 24th.
