Shelby County Commissioners’ Court Notice of Regular Meeting, Nov. 9 Agenda

November 4, 2022 - Notice is hereby given that a Regular meeting of the Governing body of the Shelby County Commissioners’ Court will be held on the 9th day of November, 2022 at 9:30am in the Courtroom of the Shelby County Courthouse at 200 San Augustine Street, Center, Shelby County, Texas to deliberate and consider action on the following items:

1. Approve the minutes of October 5, 2022 Special meeting, October 12, 2022 Regular meeting, October 19, 2022 Special meeting, October 26, 2022 Special meeting of the Shelby County Commissioner’s Court.

2. Approve and pay weekly expenses.

3. Approve and pay current payroll.

4. Approve Officers Report.

5. Public comments on Agenda item.

6. Discuss and possibly approve Commissioner Pct. 1 to close County Road 1028.

7. Commissioner Pct. 4 to rescind his motion on his FY2022 cash carryforward from fixed assets to cash balance.

8. Commissioner Pct. 4 to rescind his motion on his Federal Mineral Receipt income from fixed assets to cash balance.

9. Discuss and possibly approve a new camera system and fire alarm system for the Sheriff’s office to replace the current system which is inoperative.

10. Discuss and possibly approve the Shelby County Sheriff's Office to continue applying for the LESO program. 

11. KSA Engineers, Inc. representative Danny Hays to address the court about the contract and estimate for installation of generators to County buildings under the general direction of the American Rescue Plan Act, (ARPA).

12. Discuss and possibly approve the American Rescue Plan Act (ARPA) Contract for Engineering and/or Architectural Services with KSA Engineers, Inc. 

13. Discuss and possibly approve the Agreement for Microfilm Storage Services between Avenu Government Records Services, LLC and Shelby County for the benefit of the District Clerk’s office.

Executive Session

14. An Executive Session will also be held for the purpose of discussing personnel, hearing complaints against personnel, or to deliberate the appointed, employment, evaluation, reassignment, duties, discipline, or dismissal of a public officer or employee. The closed session is authorized by Texas Open Meeting Act, Texas Government Code Section 551.074.

15. Reopen public meeting.

16. Discuss and possibly make a decision on issues discussed in the Executive Session.

17. Adjourn.
