August 19, 2021 - Notice is hereby given that a Special meeting of the Governing body of the Shelby County Commissioners’ Court will be held on the 25thday of August, 2021 at 9:30 a.m. in the Courtroom of the Shelby County Courthouse at 200 San Augustine Street, Center, Shelby County, Texas to deliberate and consider action on the following items:
1. Approve and pay weekly expenses.
2. Public comments on Agenda item.
3. Pam Waggoner with Connected Nation Texas will present to the court the broadband survey results funded by the Texas Rural Funders and final Action Plan to move broadband forward in Shelby County.
4. Discuss and possibly approve donation from the City of Timpson in the amount of $821.67. This is LEOSE money left from the dissolved Police department in Timpson. They would like to donate it to Constable Pct.5 Josh Tipton. Austin was contacted and this is allowable under the LEOSE program.
5. Discuss request from Sheriff’s office to purchase cameras for the inside of the Patrol Vehicle.
6. Discuss and possibly amend the start date for the new EMC and set salary.
7. Discuss and possibly make a decision on the EWP Project for Shelby County.
8. Discuss and possibly approve an Order authorizing online instruction for Commissioners continuing education for Shelby County Commissioners.
9. Discuss and possibly approve Sheriff and Constable Fees.
10. Adjourn.
