October 14, 2026 – The Shelby County Extension Office invites community members to discover the art of homemade bread making at the Doughy Delights Bread Making Workshop on Tuesday, November 10, from 5:30pm to 7:30pm at 266 Nacogdoches Street, Center, Texas.
This hands-on workshop will guide participants through the fundamentals of bread making, including mixing, kneading, shaping, and baking delicious homemade breads. Whether you are a beginner or looking to build on your baking skills, this workshop offers practical tips and techniques to help you create successful breads at home.
Participants will learn:
- Essential bread making ingredients and techniques
- Proper mixing and kneading methods
- Tips for achieving the perfect texture and rise
- Baking techniques for flavorful homemade breads
"Doughy Delights is a fun opportunity for participants to gain confidence in the kitchen while learning a skill they can enjoy and share with family and friends," said Feleshia Thompson, Family and Community Health County Extension Agent.
The registration fee is $25 per person. Registration and payment are due by October 30, 2026. Space is limited, and early registration is encouraged.
