Shelby County Football This Week

Last Friday saw the Center Roughriders win their first home game of the regular season by a 41-40 score over the Gladewater Bears. This moved their season mark to 2-1. The ‘Riders will now host the Chapel Hill Bulldogs this Friday September 18, 2020. Kickoff will be at 7:30 p.m. This is Center’s homecoming game. The Bulldogs are 3-0 and won a home game over Terrell High School last week by a 51-42 score.

The Joaquin Rams won a lopsided 41-0 game over the Groveton Indians last week. Their record now stands at 2-0. This week the Rams will be on the road for the second straight week as they head to Ore City to take on the Rebels who also hold a 2-0 record. Kickoff is at Rebels Stadium at 7:30 p.m. OCHS beat the Big Sandy Wildcats 41-14 last week at Wildcats Stadium.

The Shelbyville Dragons’ record stands at 0-2. Their game with Waskom was cancelled last Friday. This week they will host the Groveton Indians at Dragons Stadium for Homecoming on Friday at 7:30 p.m.

The Tenaha Tigers took a 49-0 road win over the Kountze Lions last week. The Tigers are now 1-1 and will face 0-3 Clifton High School at Cubs Stadium on Friday at 7 p.m. Clifton lost 17-7 at Maypearl High School last week.

The Timpson Bears are on a roll after beating visiting Mount Enterprise by a 60-0 margin last week. The Bears are now 3-0 and they will travel to Price Carlisle High School for a 7:30 p.m. kickoff on Friday with the Indians. Price is 2-1 and beat visiting Alto High School by a 12-0 score last week.
