Shelby Sewical Bee Quilting Club to Meet January 8th (Updated)

December 30, 2021 - The January meeting has been moved to Saturday, January 8th. At this time, the Shelby Sewical Bee class is currently full. There is a waiting list if someone would still like to sign up.


December 28, 2021 - Want to participate in a monthly block quilting club in Shelby County while spending some social time learning sewing techniques with other quilters? Then register to particiate in the Shelby Sewical Bee hosted by Texas A&M AgriLife Extension.

The Shelby Sewical Bee will meet the first Saturday of each month from 9:00 am until noon at the Shelby County Extension office, 266 Nacogdoches Street, Center (Old Elementary School Building). The next meeting is this Saturday, January 1st. The club will feature a Block of the Month sew-along, a Sew and Share time, and provide opportunities for members to participate in a community project to make Quilts of Valor to recognize the service of our Shelby County veterans.

Sewing machines are available for participant use or you are welcome to bring your own. Annual dues are only $30 per adult participant. Participants are responsible for providing their own fabric. Beginning sewing machine experience is needed and registration in advance is required.
